Low-cost areas in Dubai

  • Bur Dubai

Bur Dubai is the former center of Dubai before it became an oil empire.

Many bloggers describe it as follows:

Unlike Deira, Bur Dubai is not so full of cheap trade, but it is in Bur Dubai that the main cultural and historical sights of the city are located – the Dubai Museum in an old fort, the old Al Bastakiya quarter, Sheikh’s House, etc.

Bur Dubai is also home to the current residence of the Emir of Dubai, Zabeel Palace, and the popular Textile Market.

There is a bus station in Bur Dubai, from where you can go to the neighboring emirates. For example, in 2-3 hours you can get to the capital of the UAE – Abu Dhabi.

The main disadvantage of Bur Dubai is its lack of access to the sea. Some hotels offer a free shuttle to the nearest Jumeirah Beach. Therefore, when looking for apartments to buy in Dubai in this area, pay attention to this point. You can also get to the sea by taxi, but this service is not cheap in the UAE. Renting a car in Bur Dubai can also be problematic. Since this is an old area, there are very few parking lots here, and there are a lot of cars, as elsewhere in Dubai. Therefore, it will be difficult to find a free space for your car.

  • Al Barsha

This is an area with almost no skyscrapers and also no beaches. Its main plus is that it is inexpensive to live here and at the same time it is equally close to the attractions of Downtown and the beaches of Dubai Marina.

There is also a giant Mall of Emirates in Al Barsh. It is here that you can fulfill your crazy dream and go downhill skiing in one of the most deserted countries in the world. Indeed, the indoor ski complex Ski Dubai is located right in the mall.

Most popular luxurious area in Dubai

  • Downtown Dubai

This is an excursion center in Dubai. If you have come to the UAE for a couple of days or even less, you will see the most important things here. It is the tallest skyscraper in the world “Burj Khalifa”, near which there is an artificial lake with giant dancing fountains, and the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the world – Dubai Mall.

Downtown Dubai is a business center of the city, and business delegations and diplomats usually settle here, so housing prices in this area are high.

Despite the fact that Downtown Dubai is an expensive area of the city, there is no access to the sea here. Renting or buying an apartment in Downtown Dubai makes sense when the purpose of your visit to the emirate is to participate in events, visit major attractions and an active nightlife without much budget constraints.

You should not think about buying an apartment in Downtown Dubai if you want to lie on the beach all day long, wander barefoot on the grass near the hotel and relax from the bustle of the city.
