Whether the baby shower you’re hosting is virtual or an in-person event, big or small, simple or elaborate, you need activities to get people mingling. But you don’t want games that will have guests rolling their eyes.

Easy Baby Shower Games

In this quiz, you’ll answer questions about traditional nursery rhymes.

You’ll need:

• One printout for each person.
• Pens, pencils, or markers.

To play:

There are two ways to play this game:

1. Put the sheets and pens on a table at the door and let people pick one up as they enter. Have your guests fill in their sheets throughout the shower and drop them off again at the table.
2. Hand the sheets out at a specific time and have everyone fill them in together, swapping ideas.

2. Shot Poot

You’ll need:

• Three diaper pails, baskets, or other containers.
• Several diapers.
• Masking tape (optional).

To Play:

1. Open up a dozen diapers and pour a cup of water into each.
2. Roll the diapers up, and tape them shut.
3. Line up three or more diaper pails, baskets, or other containers.
4. Place a line of tape (or any marker) on the floor for players to stand behind.
5. Have each player stand behind the line and throw diapers at the containers. Award points for each “goal.”
6. The winner is either the quickest person to get three goals or the person who gets the most goals in one minute.

3. Make a Baby

You’ll Need:

For each guest:

• A small tub of play-doh.

To Play:

1. Stack the tubs of Play-doh and cupcake cases on a table near the door.
2. Place a sign inviting each guest to grab a tub and a cupcake liner and make a model baby.
3. Complete babies can be left on the table and judged by the group later in the baby shower.

To Play:

10. Pin The Pacifier on the Baby

You’ll Need:

• One Pin the Pacifier game.

To Play:

1. Hang the poster on a flat surface.
2. Have players write their names on a sticker.
3. Blindfold a player, turn them around, and then push them toward the poster.
4. Players must place their sticker as close as possible to the baby’s mouth.

23. Mommy Trivia

To Play:

To Play:

1. Stack the game sheets near the entrance along with a pot of pens.
2. Encourage your arriving guests to take a sheet, mingle, and chat about the answers.
3. Toward the end of the shower, post a copy with the correct pairings so people can check their answers before they leave.

25. Diaper Pong

You’ll Need:

• Presentation board.
• Eight diapers.
• Ping pong balls.
• Items to decorate.

To Play:

1. Decorate the presentation board, then attach your diapers.
2. Number each diaper, allocating points to each one.
3. Stand the board on a table and give players three ping-pong balls.

27. Bottle to Bottle

You’ll Need:

• 4 long, skinny baby bottles.
• Candy sprinkles — cute baby-themed ones are fun.
• Double-sided tape.

To Play:

1. Fill one of the bottles halfway with sprinkles.
2. Put a piece of double-sided tape over the opening, and make a hole in the tape. If you’re using bigger, novelty sprinkles, make sure the hole is big enough for them to pass through.
3. Place another empty bottle upside down on top of the first, and tape the bottles together.
4. Repeat the process with the remaining bottles.
5. Players have to tip over and shake the bottles moving the sprinkles from one bottle to the other.
6. The first player to transfer all the sprinkles is the winner.

28. Sperm Cornhole

You’ll Need:

• Cornhole game.
• One set of sperm bean bags — like these.

To Play:

1. Split the players into two teams, one with each color of beanbag.
2. One player from each team steps up to the starting point.
3. Have players take turns throwing their beanbags.
4. After all of the beanbags have been thrown, total the points, and hand the bean bags to the next person on each team.

30. He Said, She Said

You’ll Need:

For each player:

• A set of paper symbols to represent each parent (e.g., lips and mustaches).

To Play:

1. Before the shower, compile a list of comments from each parent.
2. Give your guests a pair of symbols each.
3. Read the comments and have guests take guesses at which parent said them by holding up the symbol representing that parent.

31. Babies Against Parenthood

You’ll Need:

To Play:

1. The host asks everyone to go and find an item.
2. The first person back in front of the camera with a correct item wins a point.

To Play:

44. Don’t Deliver the Baby

You’ll Need:

• A balloon for each player.
• Chairs you can place in a line.

To Play:

1. Before you begin, lay out a course with a line at each end of the yard and a row of chairs to the side.
2. Players take off their shoes, place them at one end of the yard and walk to the other end.
3. Fill the balloons with water and give one to each player, who then puts the balloon up their shirt or in their pants.
4. Players race to their shoes, pick them up, sit on the chairs, put their shoes on, and race back to the start.
5. The First-person to do so, without dropping their balloon baby, wins.

45. Baby Care Challenge

You’ll Need:

For each player:

• A baby bottle.
• Two diapers.
• Baby wipes.
• A set of baby clothes.
• A swaddling blanket.

To Play:

1. Before you begin:
   1. Fill each baby bottle with a drink of your choice. Something fizzy works best.
   2. Put some “poop” on each doll using Nutella, peanut butter, or something similar. Don’t use too much, and try to ensure each “baby” has roughly the same amount.
   3. Put a diaper on each “baby,” and dress them.
2. Lay out a station for each player. The station should have a dressed baby, a clean diaper, wipes, a swaddling blanket, and a full bottle.
3. When you shout “GO!”, players have to chug the contents of the bottle.
4. When their bottle is empty, the player has to strip their baby and change their diaper.
   1. You can add a rule here that someone has to inspect the baby to ensure they are clean enough before the new diaper goes on.
5. Once the diaper is on, players must dress the babies and swaddle them.

46. Eat the Baby Food

You’ll Need:

For each pair:

• Multiple jars of baby food.
• Plastic spoon.
• Kitchen towels.

To Play:

1. Have one team member wrap the kitchen towel around their neck like a bib.
2. The second team member has to feed the first the baby food.
3. Either:
   1. The person who eats the most baby food within a specific time wins.
   2. Whoever eats all of their food the quickest wins.
   3. Or you hand each team one jar at a time. All players eat the food, and once everyone is finished, you hand over the next jar. They keep eating until they drop out—the last player left is the winner.

47. Bring Back the Babies

You’ll Need:

• Two lengths of string that are a little longer than the table you’re playing at.
• Two S-shaped plastic hooks.
• A package of tiny plastic babies.

To Play:

1. Tie a hook onto each piece of string.
2. Randomly scatter the babies at one end of the table.
3. Place a tape line at the other end of the table, leaving a two-inch gap between the tape and the table’s edge.
4. Create two teams.
5. One person from each team comes up to the table.
6. When the game begins, the first player tosses the hook and tries to drag a baby back until it is in the gap between the tape and the table’s edge.

You’ll Need:

• Balloons for each player.
• A sturdy chair for each team.

To Play:

1. Split the guests into two teams.
2. Inflate a balloon for each player, and tie it to their lower back. Be sure to leave the balloon loose enough to move about a little.
3. Players line up behind the start line, and one person goes to the chair, bending over slightly and holding onto the back.
4. When you shout, GO, the next person in the team runs to the player at the chair and tries to pop their balloon without using their hands.
5. When a team member’s balloon has popped, they run back to the start, and the player who did the popping takes their place.

49. Who Can do Contractions?

You’ll Need:

• A tens machine/electronic muscle massager for each couple or each team.

To Play:

There are two ways to play this game.

In Pairs

1. The guy sits on a chair with the sensors hooked up to his belly.
2. Each time the host gives the word, the woman gives her partner a pulse of electricity, simulating a contraction.
3. Each round, the machine gets turned up for a more powerful or longer pulse.
